Student speaker Hudson framed UPK as an equity issue and urged voters to weigh the monthly tax impact against the cost of private preschool. "Preschool can cost families between $12,000 and $16,000 a year," Hudson told the board, noting the district-estimated tax implication for construction on LES was "$18 a month on a $1,000,000 market value home and decreases to $9 a month for a $500,000 market value home."…
