RSVP program tells Waite Park council volunteers ease senior isolation, log thousands of hours

"Our mission is to engage older adults in volunteer service," Walker said, noting the program is federally granted through AmeriCorps Seniors and sponsored by the City of St. Cloud with longtime participation from Waite Park. She told the council RSVP supports about 1,180 active volunteers age 55 and older and reported more than 131,000 service hours across Stearns, Benton, Sherburne and Wright counties.
