Council notes Gillespie Center staffing change and local group rebrand

During council reports at the Feb. 2 Minnetrista City Council meeting, a council member announced that Rhonda Nelson has resigned as director of the Gillespie Center and that the organization is interviewing a replacement. The council member also noted that Betty Carlson is the new president of the group and that West Tonka Community and Commerce is rebranding to "Connect West Tonka."
Acting Mayor Kathleen Ruskin added that she expects to attend a mound fire advisory committee meeting next Thursday if it remains scheduled.
