Police report: narcotics offenses up; council accepts March crime statistics

The chief also reported operational figures including 850 dispatch calls for service, 1,669 self‑initiated activities, 765 traffic citations, 704 traffic warnings, 89 arrests, 110 auto accidents (11 with injuries), 10 hit‑and‑runs and one pedestrian hit with injury.
After the presentation the council moved to accept the statistics and recorded a unanimous vote of acceptance (5‑0). The mayor praised the chief and staff for their presence and work over a recent weekend event.
The council did not direct additional action during the meeting; the presentation served as the department's regular informational update to the council.
