Kennesaw police report modest March changes: drug offenses up 4, fraud down 6; 850 dispatch calls

The Kennesaw Police chief briefed the mayor and council on March 2026 activity and highlighted several category changes.
"I'll start out with drug and narcotics offenses. We had an increase of 4 in that category," the chief said. He reported a reduction of 6 in fraud offenses and a reduction of 8 in intimidation, while simple assault increased by 5. The chief reported 850 dispatch calls for service, 89 arrests, 765 traffic citations, 704 traffic warnings, 11 accidents with injuries, 10 hit-and-runs and one instance of a person struck by a vehicle with injury.
