Staff recommends approval of two home-occupation applications; hearings continued to regular session

Both applications — one filed by Lee Ann Blades for property at 2970 Bancroft Glen and the other by Wanda Hoss Hossick for 3154 Hartness Way — propose home-based businesses creating and selling jewelry accessories, handbags and home decor. "The land use application has been advertised in accordance with all the applicable state and local city requirements," Coley said.
Coley noted the two applicants are mother and daughter but live at separate addresses and that a comprehensive presentation of each application will be provided at the council's next regular session. The mayor said the items will remain in place as public hearings and asked if there were any questions; none were raised during the work session.
What happens next: Both items are scheduled for a fuller presentation and continued public hearing at the council's next regular meeting, where councilmembers may ask follow-up questions, consider recommended conditions and vote.
