In a clustered engineering session, the council awarded the Seaway Road Pedestrian Pathway Project 2 to Neil Shaffer (project construction estimated at about $1 million), with a reported $800,000 in federal funding and a $200,000 local match. Staff said the pathway will extend an existing 10-foot multiuse path and help close a planned 16-mile pedestrian loop that connects Highway 49, Highway 90, Highway 605 and Seaway Road.
