Sales-and-use tax commission proposes flat 1% fee; collections up year over year

After brief discussion, board members moved, seconded and approved the recommended budget.
Separately, Mister Flanders reported February sales-tax collections of $3,000,007.87, an increase of about $1,400,000 compared with the same month last year, and year-to-date collections up about 14.2% from the prior year at the same point.
The board recorded the motion to approve the commission budget and carried it on a voice vote.
