The petitioner, identified in the transcript as Kevin Witek, described the house’s history and said he wanted to provide tenants the same amenities as other homes; he offered an alternative proposal to remove a 100‑year‑old tree and push the garage to the rear southeast corner to address neighbors’ concerns. President Marc McLaughlin told the petitioner the Board would consider only the P&Z recommendation that evening and asked him to meet with staff. Trustees asked the petitioner to stake out the property so they could visit the site. The Board’s consensus was to table the item until the petitioner and staff complete those steps.
