Earlier in the meeting, board members and student leaders introduced district Students of the Month for April, with honorees speaking briefly about their school experiences and thanking teachers and staff. Student board member Ayanna Polk also delivered a student report highlighting attendance campaigns, career-technical opportunities and tutoring supports.
The donation will be used to expand seats in the adult-school CNA pathway; the donation amount and the club’s intention to fund students were recorded on the public record.
