Mayor Alvaro Arreola and the seven-member council voted to appoint Sergio Perez and Raul Sanchez Jr. as alternate members of the Board of Adjustments under Resolution R:2026-018. The council unanimously approved a motion to adopt the Jan. 27 meeting minutes earlier in the evening.
Council approved several grant-application resolutions that direct the city manager to submit funding requests to the Office of the Governor. Those include R:2026-011, a $65,000 Public Safety Office application for body-worn cameras with a $16,250 local match; R:2026-012, a $258,000 Criminal Justice Program application for FY2027; R:2026-013, a $12,500 General Victim Assistance Direct Services application with a $2,500 match; and R:2026-014, a $15,000 Rifle-Resistant Body Armor grant application.
