City manager briefs council on 89th legislative session outcomes and pending bills

The manager also reported Senate Bill 1173 had passed, increasing competitive-bid thresholds to $100,000, aligning with the new city manager's contracting authority. Several other measures were noted as sitting on the governor's desk for signature or veto through the June 22 deadline.
The manager said staff will monitor the governor's action and provide a formal report after June 22.
