Burleson council denies voluntary annexation, approves partnership and infrastructure contracts

After public testimony about flooding and traffic on County Road 602, the council entered executive session to consult with the city attorney. On returning to open session the council voted to deny a voluntary annexation request for the property at 1500 County Road 602; because the annexation failed, staff said the council had no authority to consider the related zoning request that evening.
