After an executive session that included real‑property discussions, the city attorney confirmed the only item for action was the airport real‑property matter; the commission voted to allow staff and administration to move forward with negotiating the airport lease and to return with final details.
Mayor Adrian Gonzalez and commissioners described the airport hangar work as part of a broader effort to advance airport development and make the site shovel‑ready for tenants and operations. Staff said KSA was the original contract awardee (11/16/2023) and the change order was needed to proceed to the next development steps.
