Bradley County Mayor D. Gary Davis announced a public hearing and county staff confirmed application deadlines for the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and the Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation Local Parks and Recreation (LPR) grant during the county commission's Jan. 12 work session.
Staci Willoughby, a presenter recognized by Mayor D. Gary Davis, said the CDBG application deadline is March 20, 2026, and the LPR application deadline is April 1, 2026. She added that award announcements are expected in November 2026.
The county declared a public hearing to consider applications and related input before the grants are submitted. The announcement gives local governments and community groups a schedule for preparing applications tied to capital and park improvements.
No formal action was taken at the work session; staff will bring the items forward as required for public hearing procedures and subsequent Commission consideration.
