The commission also approved first readings for rezoning 1497 North International Boulevard from R-1 to B-1 and 5000 East Moreland from R-1 to a townhome district (RT-1); both items were recommended by Planning & Zoning.
The commission approved first readings for voluntary annexations of Rio Orchard Estate (approx. 19.45 acres) and West Track (approx. 1.75 acres) and clarified utility service lines and flood-zone status. Staff also presented and the commission approved a final plat replat of Lot 2, Mid Valley Industrial Park, to create two lots inside the city.
Separately, the commission reappointed Armando Martinez to the Mid Valley Airport Advisory Board and confirmed several new Parks & Recreation Advisory Board members (Jose Calderon, Andres Arredondo, Javier Banuelos, Eddie Serna).
