Mister Wadsworth, a town staff member presenting the item, said the loan amendment was more complicated than initially expected because the original agreement contained construction-specific provisions not applicable to a temporary field trial. He asked the council to approve removing section 2.9 in its entirety so that staff can receive a revised agreement from WIFA that matches the town's planned temporary, non-construction activities.
"What we'd like you to do is approve the amendment to eliminate section 2.9 in its entirety," Wadsworth told the council. He said if WIFA insists on keeping only a subpart of that section the town will need to address that as a separate issue.
Council asked no substantive questions before making a motion to authorize the mayor to sign the resolution; the motion passed by unanimous electronic vote. Staff said they will obtain a revised document from WIFA reflecting the removal of the construction-focused provisions and execute the loan agreement accordingly.
