Bradley County commissioners approved the Jan. 20 consent agenda by unanimous roll-call vote, endorsing a package of budget amendments, asset-disposal requests, appointments and other routine items recorded in the meeting attachments.
Items attached to the consent packet include numerous budget amendment forms (school budget transfers; finance, county clerk, adult recovery court, sheriff, EMS and other departmental amendments), disposal and surplus forms for equipment, and lists of notaries to be elected. The Finance Committee and other committee recommendations appear in the packet and are listed on the agenda.
Commissioner Cindy Slater moved to approve the consent agenda and Commissioner Mike Hughes seconded the motion; the vote was 12-0. The minutes record the appointments/reappointments to the Employee Safety Committee and state that attachments (consent agenda documents, maps, and resolution text) are recorded with the minutes for public inspection.
The Finance Committee also presented a budget amendment reallocating a prior-year purchase order to Hiwassee Utilities (Fund 128) for $110,897 (this is the ARPA action described in a separate article). Other committee recommendations and motions recorded in the committee minutes include motions to direct the county attorney to obtain quotes for a cleanup project and to authorize the mayor to sign a memorandum of understanding for hospital transfers.
