Council delays first reading of animal-control ordinance to allow fuller public posting

Councilor Kimberly moved to postpone the item to the next regular meeting so the ordinance can be posted on the city website and receive public comment; the motion carried. Council also directed staff to return with clarifying amendments to the city’s procedural resolution so that posting language is clear (the council later moved to amend the resolution to clarify that the ordinance must be posted for 30 days prior to final adoption).
