Speaker Menon promoted the council's newly launched interactive online budget dashboard, saying the tool "translates literally hundreds and hundreds of pages of sometimes opaque budget documents into a truly interactive resource" and called it an equity and accountability measure.
She credited the finance division, Deputy Speaker Dr. Natasha Williams, the web development unit and the data team for creating the tool and urged the public to view it. Menon also said she is reviving the council's pay-disparity report this year, a work she said was stalled under the prior administration, and said the eventual report will "drive action" not just measure gaps.
On finance items the speaker listed a pre-considered resolution sponsored by Council Member Bridal Lee recognizing $3,100,000,000 in new city funds for FY2026 and a pre-considered resolution from Council Member Crystal Hudson to amend the Fulton Street BID assessment method and set a public hearing. Menon said the council will present a budget plan on April 1 and that talks with the administration and OMB over savings are "very productive."
