Erath County Commissioners approved routine financial items including 11 payment packets totaling $1,075,946.80 and a set of net-zero budget adjustments.
The county auditor presented the invoice packets and asked the court to issue orders to the treasurer to disperse funds; Commissioner Buck moved to approve the bills and Commissioner Edwards seconded. The court approved the payments by voice vote.
On budget adjustments, the court approved transfers that move funds from one line item to another without changing total expenditures; one example was moving $8,000 from road materials to contract services for concrete work in Precinct 1. Commissioner Edwards moved to adopt the adjustments with a second from Commissioner Buck, and the court approved by voice vote.
The county treasurer presented the February 2026 report. The treasurer reported receipts of $1,404,773.10, disbursements of $2,227,918.22, cash in bank of $16,947,518.01 and total cash and invested of $52,814,626.30.
