Staff said demolitions must be completed by June and that contracts should be in place by May 1 to allow time for required environmental work. Staff also noted one house in Canal Falls from the program’s original phase needs separate attention; the commission approved adding that property to the planned work and directed staff to get bids for any remaining funds.
The meeting also recorded an enforcement process for at least one property owner (Aiden Vance) where staff said they would seek a default judgment to authorize demolition if no response is filed after service.
