Council appoints three to allotment committee, hears financial update

Boulder City council drew three names by lot June 24 to fill allotment-committee terms expiring June 30, 2027. The city clerk conducted the drawing as required by ordinance and announced Deborah Couture, David J. Hancock and David W. Anderson as the selected appointees.
The council then heard the city’s financial update for the period ending May 31. Finance staff reported general fund revenues at about 84% of budget and expenditures at about 77%, noting elevated investment income and modestly higher property-tax receipts. Councilmembers said the results will influence direction on appropriate carry-forward reserve amounts when the finance department closes the books at fiscal year end.
The council also received brief city-manager remarks (claims-paid report) and a series of councilmember community announcements before adjourning.
