He said the club awarded five $5,000 scholarships last year and also provides smaller awards and gift cards for students pursuing trade programs.
Rocha encouraged residents interested in membership to contact Kiwanis.org and noted the club has printed brochures available for those who attended the meeting.
The presentation was framed as part of the city’s practice of inviting local service organizations to share programming and membership information with residents.
