Commissioner Truesdale and others debated whether officer elections should run on a two‑ or four‑year cycle; the commission settled on four years to align officer service with mayoral terms and to reduce turnover. The motion to recommend the revised bylaws and a four‑year election cycle passed by voice vote.
Dorkak advised that, once recommended, city council must approve the changes for them to take effect. Staff said the item will be forwarded to council with the commission's recommendation.
