EDA approves sale of 15520 Lawndale Lane after public hearing; buyer given Oct. 24 deadline

The Dayton Economic Development Authority approved Resolution 0625 on Sept. 9, authorizing the sale of the parcel at 15520 Lawndale Lane (P 0551202222003) to Mr. Lucero.
Counsel explained the prior direction from the EDA to prepare a purchase agreement with Mr. Lucero and said the EDA must conduct a public hearing before final approval. With no members of the public present or online to speak, the EDA opened and closed the hearing and then voted to approve the sale. "As soon as I get the check," counsel said when asked about the timing for finalizing the sale.
Counsel added that Mr. Lucero has until Oct. 24 to move the home from the property, and separately the buyer will seek a vacation of right-of-way before the city council that same evening. Staff said building permits related to the move will be processed and that the house can be placed on the lot even if a right-of-way vacation is not granted, though it may alter garage placement and layout.
The EDA recorded no public opposition during the hearing and directed staff to follow up on payment, permits, and coordination with the buyer’s planned moving date. The item will have related items before the city council that evening for a separate right-of-way action.
