Greeley County board approves five tax-list corrections, reduces several homestead credits

Greeley County Assessor Gerri Behnk presented six tax list corrections to the Board of Commissioners during the Board of Equalization session on April 14, and the board approved corrections #1280 through #1285 by unanimous roll call votes.
The corrections addressed a mix of clerical errors and changes to homestead exemption percentages for tax year 2022. The board approved the following adjustments as presented by Behnk: #1280 (Property ID 390902600) corrected a clerical error and reduced the original tax from $176.58 to $95.08, a deduction of $81.50; #1281 (Property ID 390619100) changed the homestead exemption from 100% to 30% for 2022, revising the homestead credit from $1,654.16 to $496.32 (deducted amount $1,157.84); #1282 (Property ID 390193200) changed homestead exemption from 100% to 0% for 2022, deducting $803.44; #1283 (Property ID 390514500) changed homestead exemption from 100% to 30% for 2022, revising the credit from $1,267.40 to $380.20 (deducted $887.20); #1284 (Property ID 390623800) changed homestead exemption from 100% to 20% for 2022, revising the credit from $974.54 to $194.86 (deducted $779.68); and #1285 (Property ID 390800900) changed homestead exemption from 100% to 10% for 2022, revising the credit from $1,060.88 to $106.06 (deducted $954.82).
Commissioner Dennis Wadsworth moved to approve the listed corrections and Commissioner Joe Leslie seconded several motions during the BOE session; Chairman Jordan Foltz joined the unanimous roll call votes. The Board adjourned the Board of Equalization at 9:59 a.m. and returned to regular session.
The actions alter individual property tax liabilities for the listed properties for tax year 2022; the minutes do not indicate any appeals or further actions related to these corrections.
