Sumner County schools report athletic-facility progress; committee approves four budget amendments

The committee considered and approved Budget Amendments 2–5. Staff explained that Amendment 2 reallocates revenue tied to the Innovative School Model (ISM) grant to align ePlan reporting after purchase orders closed; Amendments 3 and 4 allocate revenue from 7MEDI to pay for special-education services; Amendment 5 appropriates new state Voluntary Pre-K revenue for classrooms. Commissioner Danny Sullivan moved, and Commissioner Shannon Burgdorf seconded, to group and approve items 10b1 through 10b4; the motion carried unanimously.
