Long also provided an ARPA interest-earnings balance: about $908,000 in interest earnings as of the agenda’s writing, $665,000 of which had already been allocated to projects, leaving roughly $243,000 available to fund this purchase. After discussion, the council voted unanimously to approve the purchase; the record shows the motion passed without dissent.
