Bedford allocates 11 votes to Burgess and Crowell for Tarrant Appraisal District board

City Manager Andrea Roy briefed council on the allocation of Bedford’s 11 votes for two open seats on the Tarrant Appraisal District (TAD) Board of Directors. Roy recounted citizen input and voting tabulations and noted that the city’s resident on the TAD board recommended candidates who oppose the current two-year reappraisal schedule.
Councilors discussed the options and voted to allocate all 11 votes to Wendy Burgess and Eric Crowell to support a return to annual appraisals. The motion passed unanimously and staff will submit the allocation through the appropriate TAD procedures.
Councilors noted one additional vacancy expected on the TAD board (a separate appointment process will fill that seat).
