The board approved a package of instructional materials and a technology purchase during the meeting.
CQCC committee member Abby Abernathy summarized recommended adoptions for statistics, anatomy & physiology, physical science and a new high-school health curriculum, noting each selection was vetted for compliance with Ohio learning standards and includes digital integration. The superintendent said parent opt-out options are available for parts of some online health content.
The board also approved purchase of additional ELA classroom kits from Amplify to support the district's CKLA adoption; administrators said Title I grant funds would help cover the kits and reduce material movement between classrooms. Separately, the board approved a technology purchase to provide Chromebooks to incoming freshmen (devices issued for a four-year cycle as the district's 1:1 program), with unanimous roll-call votes for each item.
