Summary
At an Oklahoma County infrastructure meeting, Bill, the owner's representative, updated the board on elevator and facility projects: courthouse elevator work is on track for a June 30 finish (contractually Oct. 23), annex elevators in about 3–3.5 weeks, and the behavioral health facility schedule improving toward late November/December.
Bill, the owner’s representative, told the Oklahoma County infrastructure advisory board that several courthouse and campus elevator projects remain active but on track, and that the behavioral health services facility schedule is improving.
"JJC elevator, no change," Bill said, adding that on the fifth floor "we're still waiting for our AHU drive motor," with an expected late-May delivery. He said the courthouse elevator work is aiming for a June 30 completion even though the contractual completion date is Oct. 23: "We're still looking at June 30 completion," Bill said, noting the earlier date could be obtained if there are no interruptions from judge or boardroom schedules.
Bill told the board that annex elevators are "still scheduled to complete in about 3 weeks, 3 and a half weeks" and that crews expect to get them operational and inspected before moving on to the next bank of three elevators. Regarding the behavioral health services facility overseen by the citizens oversight committee, Bill said the contractor (FLTCO) is improving its schedule with better weather and crew sizes and now expects a late-November to December timeframe.
The board asked questions about schedule risk and contingency planning; Bill said progress depends on avoiding interruptions and on timely delivery of parts. The chair moved and the board voted to accept Bill’s report. Board members said staff will provide interim updates as work progresses and a fuller report at the next meeting.
Next steps: staff will continue monitoring deliveries and inspections, and return with updated schedule information at the board’s next meeting.
