The West Noble School Corporation board moved and approved routine business items including approval of prior meeting minutes, the consent agenda and the personnel agenda during the meeting.
During the financial overview, a staff member explained a substantial transfer from a legacy account (Campbell and Federer) into the district’s Lake City Bank account to consolidate funds and earn a higher interest rate; the staff member said the move will increase interest revenue on the extracurricular and campus accounts. Administration also reported a reimbursement from the 2025 bond that restored $1.375 million to the rainy-day fund.
Motions were made and seconded on the record: a motion to approve the previous minutes (moved and seconded; the chair called the voice vote and recorded '6' in favor), approval of the consent agenda (motion, second and voice approval), and acceptance of the personnel agenda (motion: Jeremy; second: identified in the minutes; voice approval). The meeting record did not include a roll-call tally for each vote; board members present indicated unanimous or voice approval for these routine items.
Board members asked for monitoring procedures for recurring items such as the district’s Tri Share commitment for early childhood and were told the expenditure will appear monthly in the board packet and that the regional Tri Share monitors open slots and funding availability.
Next steps: administration will provide bid documents for roofing work at the next meeting and continue to monitor recurring commitments such as Tri Share and early-childhood slots.
