Grand Valley Transit faces rising costs; county launches finance study to explore new funding options

"Our budget was about $7,000,000 for this year," Dana Brussig, director of the Regional Transportation Planning Office, told officials, adding that the local portion of that budget is about $3,000,000 and that overall operations funding is roughly split 60% federal/state and 40% local.
