Council approves most board reappointments, tables BZA and Alcoholic Beverage Board

The Jackson County Council reviewed and approved most annual board appointments at its Feb. 18 meeting, but tabled two positions pending candidate follow-up.
Council members agreed to continue or reappoint all listed individuals except appointments to the Board of Zoning Appeals (BZA) and the Alcoholic Beverage Board, which were tabled pending candidate confirmation and availability. The council appointed Tyler Pottschmidt to the Board of Review to replace Bridey Jacobi. Brian Thompson moved to approve the appointments under consideration and Michael Davidson seconded; the motion passed unanimously with six yes votes.
County Attorney Susan Bevers reminded the council that it must formally vote on board appointments. The minutes do not list the names of every person reappointed; the BZA and Alcoholic Beverage Board vacancies will return for council action once candidates are confirmed or available.
