Cornell completes trawl survey for wind‑farm monitoring; report due under contract within months

John said the survey crew completed sampling last week and that the study compares a "green" area that could be affected by electromagnetic fields from the cable with a "red" control area that has no cable. "By contract, I understand they have 6 months to analyze the data and come up with a report," John said, and trustees were told results should be clearer toward the end of the year unless the analysis is extended.
No analytical findings were presented at the meeting; John said the team collects data now and the interpretation is done later. Trustees asked for the final report when available so the town can determine whether the cable/operation has detectable impacts on migratory fish patterns.
