HURST, Texas — The Hurst City Council approved Resolution 19-07 on Jan. 13 to call the May 2, 2026 general election.
A staff member (Speaker 7) told the council the resolution "will call for the election, anticipated early voting, ... and Tarrant County will be the main" election administrator; Brookside was identified as a voting location. Councilmember (Speaker 9) moved to approve the resolution; it was seconded and the motion carried.
The resolution authorizes the city to contract election services with Tarrant County and sets the city on a schedule for early voting and election-day arrangements.
