PAC notes grant opportunities, deadlines and committee openings; MPGs due Dec. 1
Summary
Staff asked PAC members to provide Act 250/§248 updates by email, sought a UPWP Committee representative from PAC, and reminded members that Municipal Project Grants are due Dec. 1; staff also noted FEMA flood-map updates and upcoming housing and development conferences in mid‑November.
At the Nov. 9 meeting, CCRPC staff asked PAC members to email Act 250 and Section 248 updates to Taylor Newton and Darren Schibler. Staff said they need a PAC representative for the UPWP Committee (virtual meetings) and that alternates are eligible.
Staff reminded members that Municipal Project Grants (MPGs) are due Dec. 1 and offered CCRPC assistance with letters of support and scoping larger grant opportunities. The meeting packet flagged outstanding All Hazard Mitigation Plans for Burlington, Winooski and St. George; staff offered help to update bylaws to reflect forthcoming FEMA Flood Map revisions and NFIP standards. Staff also noted federal Thriving Communities grant opportunities and state energy grant timelines, and listed the VT Statewide Housing Conference and VT Development Conference in mid‑November.
No PAC action was taken on these items; staff asked members to follow up by email where appropriate.
