Clean Water Advisory Committee approves April minutes; members report retrofit and wastewater task force

At the June 3 meeting, Dan Albrecht recapped the April 1 draft minutes. Ryan Lambert moved to approve the minutes as drafted and Shayne Geiger seconded; Norm Baldwin registered an abstention and the minutes record the motion as approved.
Members then gave brief updates: Tom Joslin said Jericho has started a wastewater task force focused on the riverside village and that he will post findings about nitrogen removal in groundwater from his water-resource laboratory. Chris Dubin provided an update on REI plans and reminded attendees about Grants-in-Aid assistance. Shayne Geiger reported completion of a retrofit at Hullcrest Park that removed 13.5 kg of phosphorus and said a 6 kg gravel-wetland retrofit has been put out to bid; she noted the basin may consider using CWSP money for maintenance after coordination with CCRPC staff.
Dan Albrecht introduced Alexa Lewis, who said she hopes to be appointed as Charlotte’s representative to the committee. Albrecht also said chair elections are expected in July or August; Annie Costandi suggested holding the July CWAC meeting in person to align with a concurrent MS4 meeting.
The committee set the July 1 agenda and adjourned at approximately 11:58 a.m.
