Sims Library reports rising use, wins nearly $44,000 state grant and plans new services

Jennifer Graff, director of Sims Library, told Waxahachie City Council on Oct. 20 that the branch experienced rising usage and several new funding wins that will support expanded services.
Graff said the library’s visitor count rose to about 100,000 this year and active library cardholders grew from about 16,700 to 17,100. Circulation of physical items totaled about 177,000, and program attendance increased roughly 37 percent. “We were up 29,700 in program attendance,” Graff said.
