The Bartholomew County Commissioners on March 30 unanimously awarded Phase One of the 2026 Road Overlay Program to Milestone Contractors, L.P., the low bidder at $1,845,702.50. County Engineer Danny Hollander presented the bids and recommended awarding to Milestone, noting it was the lowest of three bids received.
The bid opening showed Milestone Contractors, L.P. at $1,845,702.50; Dave O'Mara Contractor, Inc. at $1,981,721.70; and All-Star Paving, Inc. at $2,051,593.40. Commissioner Carl H. Lienhoop moved to award the contract to Milestone; Commissioner Larry S. Kleinhenz seconded the motion, which passed unanimously.
The Commissioners then approved the contract with Milestone Contractors for overlay work covering 19.32 miles of county roads. Hollander presented the contract terms and scope during the meeting; the commission voted to authorize proceeding with the work under the awarded contract.
The actions taken at the March 30 meeting finalize the award and contract approval for Phase One; the county engineer will proceed with project scheduling and contractor coordination under the contract terms.
