Applicant Mark McReynolds described a failing 1920s carriage house on the site that he plans to demolish and to salvage original siding and ship‑lap material for the proposed ADU’s upper floor so it will match the main structure. "We'll use as much of the siding as we can," McReynolds said, and commissioners praised his effort to repurpose historic material. Staff noted six letters of support were received and recommended approval; Commissioner (speaker 3) moved to recommend approval and the motion carried by voice vote. The commission will forward the recommendation to city council for final action.
