The Cedar Hill City Council unanimously approved a conditional use permit (Case No. 7642026) on March 10 to allow on-premises sale of alcoholic beverages for Razoo's restaurant, listed on the agenda at 305 West FM 1382, Suite 401 (Hillside Village). Pro Tem Glover made the motion to approve, Council member Daniel Hayden seconded it, and the council recorded the motion as unanimous.
The council also authorized the mayor to execute a joint election agreement and service contract with the Ellis County Elections Department to administer the city's general election scheduled for May 2, 2026. Council member Hayden moved to authorize the mayor to execute the agreement; the motion was seconded and approved without objection.
Councilors then considered the consent agenda, which included approval of minutes from Feb. 17 and Feb. 24, 2026; authorization to submit a grant application to the Office of the Texas Governor for a first responder mental health program; authorization for the mayor to execute an AED maintenance contract with AED 123; and a change order for design, management and renovation work on the former Zulie B. Wylie Library with Year Out Energy Services Company LLC (DBA Energy Systems Group). Council member Sims moved to approve consent items A'D; the motion carried unanimously.
No members of the public spoke during the Razoo's public hearing. The agenda identified the applicant as "m Crowd, Razzus LLC" and the property owner as "Prep Hillside Real Estate LLC." Mayor Steve Mason closed the public portion of the hearing and opened council discussion before the motion to approve.
The council took no additional action on other agenda items at the meeting.
