School division awaits VDoE audit report; ERP RFI structure complete

Dr. Anne Curran told the Joint Finance Committee on March 26 that the Virginia Department of Education (VDoE) completed an exit interview with the School Division and will deliver a written audit report in about 3—4 weeks. The division will prepare a corrective action plan and provide monthly status reports to the VDoE.
Separately, Co-Chair John Kost reported the ERP (enterprise resource planning) steering committee has finished the RFI structure for a system replacement and is awaiting additional details; he said Mr. Dave Zinder will meet with the steering committee to explain how his system works so it can be considered for the replacement plan.
Dr. Anne Curran said many audit findings appear related to a lack of written procedures and that some corrective-action items mirror issues raised in a forensic audit, though she said they are not identical.
