Ysleta ISD to apply for state Teacher Incentive Allotment; board hears details on eligibility and safeguards

"When we say that we're beginning implementation in the 2627 school year, that doesn't mean that we've already been approved. The intention is for us to formally apply on April 15," Russell said. She explained the district is proposing an initial cohort focused on math (grades 4'8 and Algebra I) because math TEKS are not changing and the district can set consistent targets.
