Kelly Douglas, director of marketing and community relations for the City of Carmel, briefed attendees on the city’s 2026 event slate and sponsorship and volunteer options.
"We have events. The city hosts 40 plus events... and active over 110 days," Douglas said, and she described two sponsorship approaches: brand‑awareness placements (logos, speaking time) and customer‑engagement opportunities that track KPIs for sponsors.
Douglas said the city is building a volunteer program powered by a platform called Get Connected and distributed QR codes and printed materials for businesses that want to sponsor or volunteer. She highlighted spring and summer programming, including Americana on Main and events tied to the country’s 250th anniversary and Carmel’s 50th incorporation anniversary.
She asked small businesses to consider sponsorships that range from stage and booth presence to artist and program support, and said the city can work with sponsors to measure engagement and outcomes.
Douglas closed by inviting attendees to use QR codes handed out at the event or to contact her via the printed handouts for sponsorship and volunteer information.
