The Weatherford Municipal Utility Board recommended forming an advisory committee to review the roadway water and wastewater impact‑fee program and approved a board motion to route appointments through the city’s appointment committee.
Staff presented the background on the impact‑fee update and said council had approved a consulting contract to begin the update. Matt Leffler asked for the board’s recommendation on who should serve on the advisory committee. Mayor Pro Tem suggested a minor revision to the staff recommendation: approve the advisory committee as proposed but have the city’s appointment committee (currently Heidi Wilder and Luke Williams) make the formal appointments to ensure a transparent process.
Board members discussed the pathway for that recommendation and a motion was made to approve staff’s recommendation with the caveat that appointments be handled by the appointment committee. The motion was made by Zach Smith and seconded by Ken Davis; the board voted and the motion passed (the transcript records the motion and its passage but does not include a roll‑call tally).
Provenance: presentation and motion (topic introduced SEG 501; motion and vote concluded SEG 656).
