Planning commission recommends Prolific cannabis dispensary at 9046 31st Street, 4–3, with conditions

The Planning and Zoning Commission voted 4–3 on Dec. 18 to recommend the village board approve a special‑use permit for a cannabis dispensary proposed for 9046 31st Street, sending an advisory approval with five staff‑recommended conditions, including hours of operation and parking‑lot repairs.

Tanya Griffin, speaking for the Laws family and operator Water and Trees, told the commission the Prolific dispensary would be a neighborhood‑oriented, high‑security retail operation where most orders are placed online and customers pick up prepackaged, lab‑tested products.
