Forest Park Council approves bills, construction pay requests and EMS stretcher

The Village Council of Forest Park on May 12 unanimously approved a package of routine expenditures and project pay requests, including a $2,462,924.57 aggregate bills resolution and several contract pay requests for water meters, alley improvements and lead service work.
The council adopted the resolution dispensing with the reading of individual bills and approving the aggregated invoices (resolution R-45-25). Madam Clerk read line-item totals, including a $1,792,412.72 entry for the water department; Commissioner Maxim moved the resolution and Commissioner Niro seconded. The vote was recorded as Aye by Commissioner Maxim, Commissioner Niro, Commissioner Melon Rogovin, Commissioner Vogt and Mayor Rory E. Hoskins.
Council also approved pay request number 2 for the AMI water meter replacement project to Verigee Central LLC (resolution R-46-25) and pay request number 1 for the 2025 Green Alley improvement project to Narduly Concrete Incorporated (resolution R-48-25). An ordinance waiving formal bidding and authorizing purchase of a Stryker Power Stretcher from Stryker Sales LLC (ordinance O-29-25) was approved without discussion. Motions authorizing use of the public way for Forest Theatre Group’s Shakespeare in the Park and for Grindwell LLC’s ComEd project were also carried.
The measures passed by voice vote with all members present saying Aye. No No or Abstain votes were recorded in the meeting transcript. The council adjourned after completing the evening’s business.
Taken together, the approvals authorize routine operating payments, progress payments to contractors on continuing infrastructure projects, and a one-time procurement for emergency medical equipment. The council indicated staff will proceed with the contracted work and procurement as authorized.
