Broadview board establishes and approves consent agenda; adopts resolution honoring Rev. Jesse L. Jackson Sr.

At its Feb. 25 meeting the Village of Broadview board established a consent agenda and then approved all items contained within it by unanimous roll call.

The consent package included: an intergovernmental agreement with the Illinois Department of Transportation regarding apportionment of energy costs for certain traffic control devices; a resolution authorizing expenses for the village president and a trustee to attend the governor’s budget address in Springfield; an intergovernmental agreement with the Illinois Finance Authority related to a U.S. Department of Transportation / Federal Highway Administration charging and fueling infrastructure program; an agreement with ZOLL Medical Corporation for financing and purchase of medical equipment (the item discussed separately during the meeting); the village’s 2026 Community Development Block Grant application; an ordinance to add a fats, oil and grease management section to the village code; an ordinance creating a registration requirement for foreclosing mortgage properties; and several business‑license approvals for applicants including the Cook County Department of Public Health and local businesses. Trustees moved and seconded to establish the consent agenda and then moved and seconded to approve all items on the consent agenda; both votes passed 6–0.

Separately the board read and adopted a resolution honoring the life and legacy of Reverend Jesse L. Jackson Sr., noting his civil‑rights leadership, founding of the Rainbow PUSH Coalition and national impact. Trustee Wilper read the resolution text for the record; the resolution passed by roll call, 6–0.

The clerk confirmed that no items were removed from the consent agenda and no public commenters responded to these agenda items during the meeting.
